About GradeHawk

GradeHawk is an independent project for exploring historical course grade distributions. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the University of Iowa, ACM@UIowa, or UIGrades.

Data source and attribution

Grade data is derived from publicly available materials associated with the UIGrades project maintained by ACM@UIowa. GradeHawk transforms the source records for search and visualization and does not copy the UIGrades frontend.

The data may be incomplete, delayed, transformed, or contain errors. Please verify current course information through official University resources.

Informational use

Historical grade distributions are provided for reference only. They are not a definitive measure of course difficulty, instructor quality, or expected future grades. GradeHawk does not guarantee course availability, grading practices, or future outcomes.

Privacy

GradeHawk does not provide accounts, forms, or a backend service. Search filters are processed in your browser. When filters are active, some search state may appear in the page URL and may be included if you share that URL.

The site is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect technical request information according to its privacy statement.
